Rise Again
Approved Sober Homes

A sober living home is beneficial to an individual’s recovery. It is an alternative to going from an immersive care environment straight to a totally unstructured environment at home.  Sober living homes replicate normal, everyday life situations while instilling healthy habits and helping the individual better their lives through employment or education.

Below you will find a list of sober living houses that are MASH certified and "Rise Again" approved.

From Andrea DeCotis, owner or Rise Above ...

“Our calling is to provide a safe harbor from which re overlong individuals can heal and grow. It is our experience that those suffering in active addiction are wonderful people afflicted with a horrible disease. Addiction does not only ravage the lives of those who are actively using, but also the lives of those who love them the most. We believe that structure, support, and community programs are the vessels by which our residents return to the stream of life.

Our collective background has taught us that action steps are a necessary part of transforming into our best and most genuine selves. The Rise Above team is here to help residents take these action steps. We offer not only shelter from the storm but a framework intended to facilitate upward movement. One cannot board the vessel of recovery without taking the steps. We have crafted the ladder... and we are here to help you climb.”

Last night the ladies of Rise Again had the honor to visit Good Marks Recovery House for Women. There we met Patience Fiattor. Miss Patience, as the women call her, is the owner/director here in Lawrence, Ma. After a tour of this beautiful house, the women invited us to attend their house meeting and gave me the opportunity to tell Sabrina’s story. In her field or work, Miss Patience has seen so many women suffer from this disease. She has watched as short-term treatment has women ending up back in a dark place. Thank you Patience Fiattor, the world needs more people like you ️Good Marks is a MASH-certified sober home in Lawrence, MA. Halfway House

On behalf of Rise Again: The Sabrina Best Foundation, Kyla Best and I delivered “Fresh Start” baskets to the Edwina Martin House in Brockton. The Edwina Martin House is one of the state’s first recovery homes, designed specifically for women. They offer services to up to 21 women and can accommodate up to 4 infants at a time. The Edwina Martin House welcomes women from throughout the state, from detoxification units and short-term rehab centers.

Many women come here from incarceration, as well as, homelessness having limited belongings or nothing but the clothes on their backs.

The Edwina Martin House has relationships with many local health services. Through these relationships, they are able to provide pregnant and post-partum women the opportunity to begin recovery and motherhood simultaneously, with better health outcomes for both mother and child. By treating each woman with dignity while stressing personal responsibility, Edwina Martin House offers recovering mothers, daughters, and sisters a chance for a new beginning.
